If you pass by Kongsberg Headquarters, you may bump into this masterpiece. In this Inspired by Kongsberg video, our Application Specialist Filip shows how to produce a detailed Eiffel Tower structure from corrugated board.
Constructed from double-wall corrugated, the Eiffel Tower includes multiple parts and detailed knife cutting. The project demonstrates how the right combination of tools can turn corrugated EB flute board into a creative and precise structural application.
To produce the Eiffel Tower, Filip uses two tools: the Bevel Knife Tool and the Reciprocating Knife Tool. The Reciprocating Knife Tool is used with a coated knife blade for long-lasting cut quality, while the Bevel Knife Tool is used for the angled cuts.
In the base production, the black lines are produced with the Reciprocating Knife Tool. The red and green lines are not creased, but cut using the Bevel Knife Tool. This makes it possible to peel out the 45-degree angle cut corrugated EB flute board and create the detailed final structure.
