Inspired by Kongsberg: Building a functional Re-board® desk on the Kongsberg C Series

A desk made from Re-board®? Absolutely.
In this Inspired by Kongsberg video, our Application Specialist Filip takes you through the production journey of a functional desk, designed by Nordwerk, a Kongsberg ambassador.

Produced on the Kongsberg C Series, the desk is made from 16 mm Re-board® and combines structural creativity with precise digital cutting. The production setup uses the VariAngle Knife Tool and the HF VibraCut knife to manage partial cuts, V-notch cuts and small detailed elements.

Inside iPC software, different line colors are assigned to different operations. The blue lines are partially cut with the HF VibraCut knife, while the red lines are used for the V-notch cuts. The V-notch angle can be driven directly from within the software, giving the operator precise control over the final structure.

For the 16 mm Re-board®, the VariAngle Knife Tool is used with the medium knife blade adapter, making it possible to create the angled cuts needed for a clean and functional finished desk.
