Meet the team - Jesse Allmyer

In the latest instalment of our Meet The Team feature, we talk with Jesse Allmyer, who is the Customer Experience Center Manager at our North American HQ in Miamisburg, Ohio.

What is your role at Kongsberg PCS/MultiCam?
As manager of the newly opened CEC, I am responsible for customer pre-sales demos and benchmarking for Canada and all of the Americas. I work with the Facilities Support team as well as managing the showroom itself.

What aspect of your role do you enjoy the most?
I enjoy working with our catalog of products daily here in Ohio, testing unique materials and figuring out how best to cut them for our customers.

What has been your favorite project at Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems?
Moving into a new demo showroom and officially re-launching the Ohio office. It was a lot of hard work but also very rewarding seeing what our team was able to make of it.

If you could switch your job with anyone else within Kongsberg PCS/MultiCam, whose job would you want?
That’s easy – I would swap with Knut Johansen who is Product Manager - Tools & Consumables. I think he has a fascinating role that I think I would really enjoy.

How did you get started in the business?
After obtaining a Digital Media degree from Full Sail in Orlando back in 2003, I went into prepress at a local label company here in Ohio. I then worked at various print production companies both across the country and around the world, working with flatbed digital printers and digital cutters in various types of roles. After a few years’ stint in production, I switched to the OEM side of the business selling printers and cutters.

How would you describe the company culture at Kongsberg PCS?
We are a ‘leading the pack’ digital cutting company .

Outside of work, what’s your passion?
I enjoy spending time with my wife Jessica and daughter Maeve - we enjoy hikes in nature, looking for interesting rocks and fossils in the creek beds and along outcrops. Maeve also Irish dances so we travel to lots of competitions. We are also big Cincinnati Bengals (NFL/American Football) fans!

What is your favorite quote or personal mantra?
“Can’t never did anything, tried did it all.”

What is the best advice you've ever received?
Never stop, keep moving forward.
