HEAVY-DUTY TOOL POSITION / UNIT
Tool position on Ultimate and C Series for creasing, V-notching and straight cutting at high speed.

Toolhead & Tool Position
What is it used for
The Heavy-Duty Tool Position is one of the tool positions on the Kongsberg Ultimate and C Series tables, built for heavy-duty materials. It provides the capability to crease, V-notch and cut straight lines at high speeds using a variety of adapters, ensuring superior performance with heavy-duty materials such as double-wall, triple-wall and recycled board.
Important difference between series: on Ultimate, this is one of only 2 tool positions available, so the Foam Cutting Unit and VariAngle Unit tools also mount here, alongside the HD knife and V-notch tooling.
On C Series, the Foam Cutting Unit and VariAngle Unit each have their own dedicated tool position instead (see the separate Foam Cutting Unit and VariAngle Unit pages), so the Heavy-Duty Tool Unit on C Series is used only for HD knife, V-notch and crease tooling.
- 50 kg (110 lbs) downforce for consistent creasing on heavy liners
- Powerful head rotation for accurate V-notch cutting with mitered corners
- Supports a wide range of HD knife tools, V-notch inserts and crease adapters
