About the Ultimate Series

Continuous production, around the clock

Corrugated converters running multi-batch orders finally pair high-volume output with a digital cutting table built to run nonstop. Even if left unattended overnight, the Kongsberg Ultimate holds the exact same pace and precision from the first cut to the last.

In 2024, leading industry federations rewarded the Kongsberg Ultimate with the PRINTING United Alliance Pinnacle Product Award and the EDP Award for Best Wide Format Cutting Solution, followed by the Red Dot Award in 2025.

Benefits & Features

A powerhouse for relentless output

Converters with heavy workloads trust the Ultimate Series for consistent quality and dependable results, order after order.

Full power, right from the start

Cutting launches at maximum force. Under the hood is the Kongsberg PrecisionDrive. It pairs an infinite linear, high-torque motor with a rack-and-pinion drive, built for instant acceleration between cuts.

The cutting head reaches top speed almost instantly, with an acceleration at up to 2.7G. Once moving, it travels across the material at up to 165 m/min, so more output leaves the table each day.

100% sellable output

Built as one solid piece, the carbon-fibre traverse beam is light enough to move fast, yet strong enough to hold rock-solid at max speed. No flex. No wobble. Cuts and creases land exactly where they were designed to land.

Even when 50 kg of downforce presses into the material, the traverse beam holds. Each crease sinks to the exact same depth, never too deep, never too shallow. Every sheet that leaves the table is ready to sell.

Cut, crease and perforate in one pass

Three tools take turns automatically, exactly at the right moment, as the work demands: the Dual Heavy-Duty Unit for heavy cutting and creasing, CorruSpeed Tool for clean, tear-free edges on corrugated board, and the VibraCut Knife Tool for sharp perforating. Operators confidently set the controls and step away.

Operators stay safe during work

Green, orange, or red lights clearly indicate the safety status for the table operator. If Kongsberg SmartZone detects that an operator is too close, the machine either adjusts its pace, or ultimately pauses completely.

Jobs set up in seconds

Scan a barcode and the right file loads, tools and settings included. The iPC software reads the material, picks the right cutting profile, and gets the Kongsberg Ultimate to work. Production finishes faster and the table wears less, as the iPC software finds the shortest cutting path across the table.

Automation that scales with demand

A configuration that fits today's throughput just as well as tomorrow's ambitions. From manual operation, to a Feeder & Stacker, to an autonomous Robotic Material Handler. The level of automation on the Kongsberg Ultimate always matches the output volume of the factory.
