Toolhead & Tool Position
What is it used for
The FoamHead is a heavy-duty toolhead made for cutting a large range of foam materials up to 86 mm thickness, typically used in the protective packaging industry.
It's a variant of the FlexiHead, purpose-built for thicker foam than the Foam Knife Tool insert can handle on a standard FlexiHead. Its reciprocating knife runs at 4,800 strokes per minute with a 4 mm amplitude, and Z-axis control ensures consistent partial cuts, important for many foam designs. Support wheels safeguard the operator from sharp blades and improve cutting by applying pressure on top of the material.
- Cuts a wide range of foam materials at high speed, up to 86 mm thick
- Large range of specially designed blades for versatility
- Support wheels to hold the material down
