As Ten Herkel's signage operation grew, it became clear that their existing cutting solution was a bottleneck. The machine they had, a well-known brand in the Dutch market, simply could not meet the production speeds required, resulting in cut quality issues on key materials such as 1mm polypropylene, where the blade resistance caused raised edges and poor finishing.
Thijno, the designated successor to company founder, set out to conduct a thorough market evaluation across all available suppliers. The goal was clear: find a cutting solution that could deliver the speed and precision needed to expand production capacity and take on more orders.

Cutting at Full Speed
Following tests with multiple brands, Ten Herkel was invited by Kongsberg PCS to visit the Customer Experience Center in Ghent. What they witnessed there was decisive. Materials that had previously been cut at only 30% of machine speed on competing solutions were processed by the Kongsberg C at full speed, with flawless results.
