From a focus on quality to reliable, repeatable production
The challenge
Quality as standard
When FOTO THUN started, they wanted to focus on quality. They developed a facility packed with machinery that delivers a very good quality result.
To further expand this quality result in the large format printing sector, they needed perfect edges, total size accuracy, high repeatability and a proper workflow.
The solution
The logical next step
The Kongsberg was the logical next step for FOTO THUN. The team discussed their requirements and ideas with the Kongsberg sales representative, looking at them from the target side rather than the machine side.
They also had the opportunity to test the solution at the Gent Test Center to see what really suited their needs. After the test, it was clear to Peter that it would definitely be a Kongsberg.
The result
New products, new customers and improved reliability
Since installing the Kongsberg, FOTO THUN has gained new customers with new products that they didn't have before. With the tools they have, they can still develop many products that they have in mind but haven't yet brought to market.
The machine has also brought a significant improvement in reliability. During the high season in November and December, FOTO THUN can rely on it every day to continuously process products to the best quality.
