Building success on the reliability of the Kongsberg C64
The acquisition of powerful digital cutting solutions opened up a new chapter in the development of Banim.
Watch the video to discover how Banim has used the Kongsberg PCS tables to boost its production, build business and reduce production costs.
The story
From expanding production demands to improved capacity and throughput
The challenge
Supporting production across different materials and applications
Banim produces POS displays from cardboard, clearite, acrylic, PET plastic, PET GE plastic and many more composite materials made up of different additives. For their first machine, they needed stability in the production process itself, plus service and partner support in their own market. They looked at what the competition was doing, both in Serbia and in the region.
The solution
Stability, flexibility and reliable support
After trying a Kongsberg cutting table and meeting Kongsberg support, specifically Fortuna Digital in Serbia, they did not have to look any further. In addition to the stability of the professional Kongsberg solutions, the key thing is the support of service technicians and Kongsberg's partners in their market. The equipment is easy to use, flexible, high quality and reliable.
The result
Stability that enables additional capacity
"With the C64, we got an additional 160 sheets per shift, and that's without automation!"
Now one operator and one assistant operator work one shift on both machines, which reduced costs. The XP Auto machines, installed in 2019, worked non-stop for three years, processing approximately 250,000 sheets, about a million and a half square meters of cardboard.
That reliability gave them the will to take on their most demanding project, billboards for a shopping center in Luanda, Angola. It was completed successfully, and after several years the billboards are still standing. Their plan for next year is investing in automation, which they calculate will deliver an additional 30 percent boost in capacity.

“When it comes to Kongsberg, we have the stability where we don't have to think at all about how the machine will behave, whether it will be stable in the production process itself.”
