Shaping 2026 together

This season, we built a winter village that blends craft with technology. Every detail was cut on a Kongsberg X to show what’s possible when precision and creativity come together.

Our seasonal greeting is more than a festive moment. It highlights the accuracy, repeatability and versatility you can achieve with Kongsberg cutting systems. See how far your creativity can go...

How we created this winter wonderland

The houses and trees

A set of miniature houses and trees was created by moving from digital design to production using a standard Kongsberg PCS workflow.

  • Design & setup: Created in Adobe Illustrator and prepared with the Kongsberg PCS ai-cut plugin to assign cut paths and material information
  • Material: E-flute single-wall corrugated board
  • Cutting table: Kongsberg X
  • Tools: Psaligraphy Knife Tool with a BLD-SR6152 blade for cutting; 26 mm Crease Wheel Tool with a 4 pt. profile for creasing

How the snow was made for the winter wonderland

The snow

To create the snow effect, small grid pieces were produced to showcase the system’s ability to handle fine details.

  • Setup: 200 grids measuring 20 × 20 mm, each divided into 2 × 2 mm squares (20,000 snowflakes in total). All done straight from within i-cut Production Console
  • Material: White cardboard stock, 400 g.
  • Cutting table: Kongsberg X
  • Tool: Psaligraphy Knife Tool, but this time fitted with the finer BLD-SR6150 blade
