Embamat already had digital cutting equipment in place, but its existing setup no longer matched the demands of modern production. The previous machine was around 20 years old and required a qualified operator to remain at the table at all times - limiting productivity and tying up valuable resources across the plant.
Output quality was also inconsistent, creating waste and losses that the business wanted to eliminate. At the same time, Embamat needed a more flexible solution with automatic loading and unloading - one that could handle large-format materials as well as a wide variety of other substrates, and support faster, more efficient short-run work.

Embamat installed a Kongsberg C66 with Feeder & Stacker at its Catalonia facility, creating a more automated and flexible production setup. The solution allows the company to process different materials in sequence on the same workflow - from cardboard to foam to plastics and beyond - making it much easier to manage varied jobs and short production runs.
It also gives Embamat the capability to handle more demanding applications, including materials such as honeycomb board, while maintaining the precision and reliability needed in day-to-day production. With automatic feeding and stacking, the table can continue running while operators focus on other tasks elsewhere in the plant.
