What is it used for?

The Braille Tool enables the application of raised dots used in braille signage, the tactile writing system for people who are blind or visually impaired. Various government regulations make this tool necessary throughout the world.

The Braille tool inserts spheres into pre-drilled holes in rigid materials. The drilling requires the MultiCUT tool head and a special purpose milling bit. The Braille Tool is mounted as any other insert tool, into one of the free tool positions in the MultiCUT tool head.

The braille spheres are inserted into small holes by a spring in the tool. The tool is supplied with a plunger that has two purposes; to force the spheres into the internal funnel, and to indicate the number of spehers remaining in the tool.
